sure, why not. I'm all for supporting the vendors that still develop enhancements for our cars. What would be nice is a way to blue tooth this on or off via phone so i don't need to pull the unit physically out to prime the oil pressure when the car has sat for a few months between drives.

Still unclear on how the pump prime version works in practice. And whether the 993 needs it. And/or whether the 964 needs it. Anyone with more insight?

Replace you old failure-prone mechanical DME relay with this premium Solid-State upgrade. Because it has no moving parts, it cannot "wear out" like the original or aftermarket relays do. It can be installed in just a few minutes without tools. Compatible with all Porsche 911 (993 & 964 models) 968, 944 and 924S.

This statement is consistent with the "Fitment" section at the end of the web page:

Fitment:

911 turbo (96-97)
Carrera 2 (89-94)
Carrera 4 (89-94)
Carrera (95-98)
Carrera 4 (95-98)
924s (85-88)
944 (83-89)
944s (87-88)
944s2 (89-91)
944 turbo (86-91)
968 (92-95)

From the manufacturers web site, it appears both DME units are compatible with the 993. I ordered one of each. I'll soon know with certainty.
Is there any reason Carrera 4S (95-98) is not on the list?

4S must be the same as C4. They just left off the trim variants. Considering one of these myself.

I received mine from this sale really quickly and put it in my '90 C2. I did get the pump-prime version. I turn the ignition to on and leave it for a few seconds before starting the engine. Before and after with the stock DME relay is that the engine fires up instantly now. Minimal diff but the reliability of the solid-state relay vs. OEM is peace of mind for me.

Yes, it works for the 4S. I have in C2 and C4S, no difference.
