Anyone know the difference between the $59 Pump Prime and the "911 Pump Prime" on sale for $77.50?

"The Pump-Prime feature automatically runs the fuel pump for up to 3 seconds when the ignition is switched to the "On" position. This builds optimum fuel pressure before cranking the engine, insuring your Porsche starts as fast and as smooth as it possibly can."

"Pump-Prime"The Pump-Prime feature automatically runs the fuel pump for up to 3 seconds when the ignition is switched to the "On" position. This builds optimum fuel pressure before cranking the engine, insuring your Porsche starts as fast and as smooth as it possibly can. Replace you old failure-prone mechanical DME relay with this premium Solid-State upgrade. Because it has no moving parts, it cannot "wear out" like the original or aftermarket relays do. It can be installed in just a few minutes without tools. Compatible with all Porsche 911 (993 & 964 models) 968, 944 and 924S.

This statement is consistent with the "Fitment" section at the end of the web page:

Fitment:

911 turbo (96-97)
Carrera 2 (89-94)
Carrera 4 (89-94)
Carrera (95-98)
Carrera 4 (95-98)
924s (85-88)
944 (83-89)
944s (87-88)
944s2 (89-91)
944 turbo (86-91)
968 (92-95)

From the manufacturers web site, it appears both DME units are compatible with the 993. I ordered one of each. I'll soon know with certainty.

Such an easy to overlook mod that solves the Achilles Heel of the 993. So worth the peace of mind!

On my 964 the fuel pump goes on when the ignition is switched to the on position so does this simply have it go for 3 seconds vs 2 seconds? Also assuming you have to leave it in that position for the 3 seconds before trying to start the engine?
