CDR-220 and streaming bluetooth
So just thought I would share. I bought one of those cheap $15 bluetooth dongle things from ebay. Took 5 minutes to install and works perfect. You will lose your CD changer (if you have one) but that didnt bother me as the headunit has a CD slot anyways. You will need to enable AUX on the headunit however that takes 20 seconds. Blue tooth connected immediately and works fine. For $15 bucks you cant go wrong!

Ebay link and compatibility
The previously linked ebay listing notes: "The items not fit CDR model" I have a CDR-210. Since it supposedly works for a CDR-220, maybe it will also work for a CDR-210? Can anyone confirm that it works for a CDR-210 in spite of what the listing says? The following ebay listing IS compatible, but it is more than 5x the cost with shipping:

BTW, if you are handy, for about $100 you can get a for-parts CDR-210 to get replacement buttons:

that said, I am debating trying something like this https://www.instructables.com/id/Hac...r-Car-Stereo-/ or farming out the job to someone who knows what they are doing with soldering

Yes, this is excellent. I had been using the Becker retrofit (a cable with a headphone jack) and running it through the dash and ash try then plugging that into a standalone bluetooth module that has to be charged every two hours. This looks like it will plug into where that Becker cable is currently plugged and then I don't need to worry about charging the bluetooth at all. Excellent news.
