RIP....I like Stewart's description of him as a racing driver's racing driver. I thought he had also won some motorcycle championships; am I thinking of someone else?

Thanks for the heads up. Saw him at Amelia Is a few years ago. Truly one of the greats and a favorite of mine reading Road and Track as a kid. RIP.

Being English, this is a sad day for me. He was a hero, an icon and pure class.

Met him a few few times - he was racing's version of Arnold Palmer.
