Cant get interior glass clean?.
Hey all need some advice. My 98 993 interior glass never gets as clean as it should and i have used 4 different brands of glass cleaner. I was told the plastics give off some kind of fumes that clings to glass i no it sounds crazy. After i wash them there is still a film that won't come off it just seems to move around. And no i don't smoke so it's not nicotine. Any ideas or do any of you have this problem. Thanks.

Gdub, you are not crazy! The plastic in the car off-gases stuff that is quite difficult to remove cleanly. The invisible glass aerosol spray works a lot better than any of the liquids I've ever tried. I think it also helps to clean the inside glass regularly, as opposed to waiting until that stuff gets both thicker and has even more adhesion to the glass. Somebody on a Rennline post said that German glass is known to be rather soft, which could account for the ability of that stuff to stick. Drives me completely nuts! So there it is.

Definitely vote for Sprayway over Invisibleglass (stopped using that years ago when I discovered Sprayway). Similar products but I regard Sprayway as a professional/commerical product vs Invisibleglass as consumer grade stuff.
Bonus- my wife loves the stuff for our 30+ windows in the house. We buy it by the case.

I work for Stoner Inc (the manufacturer of Invisible Glass) and also am a lover of the brand. We used to sell a lint free rag that worked great but the quality has dropped off so I recommend a lint free cotton rag. Never use paper towels and I also avoid microfiber due to the linting.

We teach our Concours students to make their own glass cleaner:
One part denatured alcohol to two parts distilled water.
Use dedicated glass only white 100% terry cloth. Never washed with fabric softener. Spray cloth. Work in manageable sections. Clean glass. Buff dry with second cloth. Cool glass. In shade. Win event.

I clean the inside windows on my car once a year. Mostly to clear the dog snarf from my Standard Poodle who is my regular companion running shotgun in the passenger seat. Life is good!
