Default Spoiler wall

HI, Ordered, what I thought was going to be an OEM version, of the Back panel spoiler wall, 993-512-121-00, and received this. I ordered online from SunsetPorscheparts.com. They have been good about issuing an RMA, and I will be sending it back.

But here is the odd part. According to them, all the OEM pieces look like this (2nd photo)? I find it hard to believe, but wanted to check with the greater community before I order another one, and be disappointed again..

Here is a picture of my old one and the new one.

Old one is uniform lines, greyish color.

New one is shinny black, with a horrible finish.

I can't speak for the horrible finish but it should be somewhat shiny black in colour. I suspect that your old one could be grey due to age, a lot of black plastic parts do that.

+1 the old one is 20+ years old...but the finish of the new part is pretty substandard on the face of it.

So this is replacing a replacement? Was it split? If not you can use a product like black again to return it to its original color.

Shiny black Gorilla Tape still holding perfectly after 3-years. Unless someone looks up there carefully, no one knows...
