Default Repair times

How has Covid affected your repair times? Having a problem getting my car back from the shop. Just curious what others' experiences are.

The oposite actually! Had the car repaired while I was waiting and disturbed the mechanics!

I had an engine out done, dropped the car off about a week before shutdown. There were a few slowdowns due to suppliers shutting down. Other than that it took about as long as I expected and my shop was glad to have the work.

There are some delays in getting certain parts which are holding things up but most shops seem busy and are moving things along for regular repairs.

Some big shops are very affected, technicians are people and they have been getting COVID as well leaving service departments short on techs but a lot of work coming in.

I waited eight weeks for a set of fans for the suitcase to arrive from the US to Australia.

I just had the wife's M2 in for some warranty work at the BMW dealer. They were busy and I was in no rush and told then so. They kept it for a few days which was find with me.. Looking around, they don't seem to be hurting for business.

My cars 60k service was done in two days. Scheduling the appointment - easy peasy.
