PCCM Volume Not Loud Enough?

PCCM Volume Not Loud Enough?
A couple months ago, I installed the new CarPlay PCCM in my car, which has the HiFi sound package and the Nokia amp. Everything plugged in and worked great, except the volume doesn't seem to get very loud. The PCCM maxes out at 30 and I think it's quieter than the stock Becker radio... does anyone else have this issue?

Contact the manufacturer, Kraemer Automotive, and see if they can help. The PCCM is generally low quality garbage, so they might not be able to, but they will know more than Porsche at least who are completely useless. My issues with it still haven't been solved 6 months after purchasing, and it does not help that it is on backorder for the last 4 months while they solve the issues I highlighted.

FWIW, I did end up emailing Kraemer Automotive and they finally replied to me, only to tell me to contact my local Porsche center... who then told me to contact the manufacturer.
If there was someway to bump the Max Volume on these PCCMs from 30 to 45, it would make a big difference. Might need to start looking into replacing the Nokia Hi-Fi package amp underneath the passenger seat at this point.

Hello all,
First of all go in the sound settings and play with these.
And also set separate volumes for audio sources.
If this doesn’t help reset sound settings.
if all fails reset the whole thing.
Regards Christian

im close to going deaf just at volume 15, so can’t really help you. Kraemer are being dicks about the contact Porsche center stuff , they must have gotten told off by Porsche. Your best bet is to call Porsche classic directly, they’re on German time. There’s a guy there called Ralf something that is in charge of quality control and should be able to help you
Did it do anything for you? I played with everything during the installation and nothing helped. I'm in the same camp, the Tuner gets loud but USB/Bluetooth does not.

contact@porsche.de for this one put Porsche Classic in the subject. Also, you will have more luck using the phone.

Question - does the previous Gen 2 PCCM have this volume issue??
I almost feel like I got scammed. We're the fools who buy into OEM branding, only to spend $1300 on a stereo that restricts your volume by almost half. If the windows are even remotely down, I have to automatically go to Max volume... WTF

So, it appears the volume in CarPlay has something to do with the phones logic, not the PCCMs. I have not figured this out yet but after having my phone connected to a different BT speaker, the volume was much louder when subsequently using my phone in the car. A quick google search will show this is an issue many have CarPlay.

I experienced the same issue (Early 95 with Hifi and 490 Option) with volume at 30 being nowhere near as loud as "it should be". Here's a "fix" that worked for me: Home / Sound / Equalizer / Custom Settings. Here I increased each level to 4 bars above Neutral, with the first level 2 bars above neutral. Here's a pic for reference (this has them at max, which I later corrected).
It increases the volume significantly, so perhaps you won't need 4 bars like I did. In my case, I now run into limits on my speakers at full volume, which is ok for me as they are the original ones and certainly not in the best shape.
Hope this works for you, too!

^ BOOM!! That did the trick for me too, thanks! I was using one of the standard Equalizer settings before, had no idea their Hz's were so low. The only thing is, at this neutral setting and evenly increased, the treble and bass sounds flat. I need to compare the Hz settings of other equalizers and see if I can apply them in this boosted format, maybe incorporate more of a "V" curve from 80hz-11khz
Edit: Try this setting, it's got the right sizzle... great bass and highs aren't too overpowered, but the volume can still get to proper loudness. Knowing this now, I can only assume the standard preset Equalizers incorrectly have some of the Hz DB's in the negatives versus the positives.
