I realized that I am the king of Mount Stupid this weekend as washer fluid poured on my head after accidentally disconnecting the hose while fidgeting with the AC condenser resistor.

I got lazy and didn’t look up the how-to guide and figured it’d be just like the oil cooler side. I thought it would be secured by a bolt on the underside of the metal that the resistor was sitting on, and proceeded to turn a 10 minute job into a 10 hour job.

See attached for the “nut” that I tried to manhandle for an embarrassing amount of time.

At least I got to clean out all of the caked-in dirt from the radiator.

Exactly! The problem is that stupid people overestimates their own skills and that the experts also overestimates the stupid people's skills.

Expert - someone who has made every conceivable error in a narrow field.

Why spend $300 having a professional work on my car, when I can do it myself for $600.

...words I literally live by.

No matter how much experience one has, a return to Mt. Stupid is always possible. On second thought make that probable!
