Analysis of NB 993 sales on BaT in 2020
I'm considering selling my 31K mile C4, so looked at sales data from BringaTrailer.com in 2020.
https://bringatrailer.com/porsche/993/ (Note that you can now filter the results for date and other options.)
I looked only at NB cars, did not include C2S, C4S, or Turbo. Maybe someone else will want to do that. (Edit- did chart for non-turbo wide body cars, see following post.)
There were 70 cars auctioned. I separated them into 4 categories:
6-speed coupes
6-speed targas
6-speed cabs
automatic cars (all types)
I sorted each group by price, and color coded mileage and price. (The prices shown do not include BaT's 5% buyer fee.)
It's clear that the recent selling prices are higher than the sales earlier in the year.
Anyway, thought this might be interesting to some folks. I've attached jpg, plus pdf and even excel file in case someone wants to add other models.

I looked and there were only 14 wide body cars, so I quickly did those too.
I think all but one were 6-speeds, but if there were more, I may have missed noting that detail.

It does look like the 993 (besides the C2S and the C4S) are starting their climb upwards.

Paul - Your hunch about NB prices increasing appears to be correct. The chart below shows your 2020 data plotted along with the 2019 data I had in another spreadsheet. I added 5% BAT fee to your numbers to match mine to compare apples to apples.

Excellent info. I'm on there, but not sure whether I did well!
But I love the car, and as my grandfather told me "the enemy of a good deal is the better deal someone else got"

Thanks for sharing. Do you have this for C2S and C4S by chance?

Another saying applies, “you only live once but you are dead a long long time”. So, I suggest if you have always wanted a Pcar you better just go for it and buy whatever generation you like. If you already have one you better drive it and enjoy it. Leaving sealed up in the garage is almost like not having it. RRC 👍🏽

Hey, could you graph just the cars with 70K miles or less? Looks like above that there is a huge range of prices, probably due to a huge range of different conditions!
Thanks.
