Visually similar, but expensive if I don't get it right...

I ordered this for my c2 from suncoast parts. agree 100% with 911pervy....it’s plastic and nothing like the tequipment version. I returned the one I ordered. Save your money or hold out for a used original one.

+1. Its total ****. I bought a new one because it felt wrong ordering a normal one on 2S, and the tequipment one is impossible to find at sane prices.

The 2S one does look like the aluminum tequipment one though, except plastic. If someone could CNC a piece of aluminum to replace the plastic it might work. It seems to just be glued on.

On the tequipment one, yes the shift pattern is epoxied into the larger aluminum piece but the latter is screwed into the rest of the ****.

Good to have that confirmed - the S **** looked deceivingly metal like, but I hate that Porsche has gotten away with these chintzy lightweight ***** and charges a fortune for the better alternative.

Not what your looking for but if you want a nicely weighted shifter the Rennline 917 style has a great feel

I actually love the C2S plastic ****. I had the function first **** for a short time and went back the to the C2S.
My question is why is heavier better? If heavy is good, why was the 917 **** that is so copied made of balsa? I am certain that none of this matters on a street car.
And hey, you are saving weight with the plastic ****!

No, the carbon ones are different.

The Tequipment **** came in regular aluminum + one piece leather boot or the carbon version which the **** is aluminum and carbon with a separate boot. There is also two version of both the regular and carbon Tequipment which have different shift pattern fonts/engraving.

Then there is the "plastic" version (first picture at very top of thread) which looks like the Tequipment but is painted plastic. Also the shift pattern of that one looks like the shift pattern of the standard leather ****.

Plastic **** on C2S:

Original version Tequipment with larger shift pattern font/engraving (carbon version):

Non carbon, original Tequipment w/ larger font

2nd edition of Tequipment with smaller font/engraving (carbon version):

Non-carbon version of 2nd edition Tequipment with smaller font/engraving:
