Just curious to know how fast a 993 is in real life...

What is the top speed you have seen on your speed-o-meter?

What is the top speed you have maintained over say 1/2 hour?

I don't think I've ever exceeded 110km/h, officer.

I don't even look at the speedometer when driving - its always oil gauges, mirrors, tach, and fuel. I guess the speedometer is slightly higher priority than the clock.

Slower than your 992 and M3 were, but slightly faster than your 95...

This one time I looked at my clock and I was going 1:30.

There was a guy from Germany years ago that did a lot of Bahn runs at 140+ for extended periods. He also said he had to rebuild the bottom end.

My Porsche Carrera did 185. I lost my license, now I don’t drive.

Shamelessly lifted from the song, “Life’s Been Good To Me So Far”.

But pretty funny regardless.

When i have to drive from Hamburg to Munich, i use my 3.2; where possible full throttle (>140mph), otherwise maybe a little less; its a 6-8 hours ride, depending on traffic. I do that all the time, the 3.2 is 37 years old .... no rebuild ... not even in sight ...

Otherwise I agree with mike cap ...

Guys it’s a simple question. Absolutely no reason to pan the question IMO. Don’t like it just move on. Geezzz. I’m interested in answers to posts not name calling.
