I see what you are saying now. No doubt they are in business to make money, I will caution you that some dealers will mark up the suggested price and discount it. Be sure you know your pricing before buying. Some dealers will give PCA members a discount. I am lucky to have wholesale pricing and the mark up can vary tremendously. Some parts only pennies others a large %.

My experience with some of these so called OEM seals is they fail prematurely and some don't have the proper vent or weep holes which can be a concern. Do your homework is all. Be very weary of the Chinese knock offs. I find these are usually not a good fit and don't last.

I received the Üro driver door seal from Pelican today, and I can confirm that it fits like a glove after dry-fitting it. The door closes without major force. Now onto removing the caked old glue and resealing it.

Thanks so much for the final confirmation! I'll be ordering mine today.

Thanks. Does the Uro part have ribs on it or is the profile the same as the original 993 part? Thanks.

Below is a comparison of the three door seals I currently have in my possession.

From top to bottom:

- 911-531-095-03-M136 - $70 OEM part
- 911-531-095-03-M253 - $24 Üro part
- The seal off my 97 C4S, assuming it's the original

The first image shows that the original is not ribbed; the ribs on the Üro are subtle and very pronounced on the $70 seal. The $70 seal doesn't allow for my doors to close, the Üro is thinner, and the doors close properly. You'll also notice that the original part has the vent holes on the top, while the replacements have them on the bottom.

Can you comment on the thickness of the rubber? I found the cheaper seals to be made of thinner rubber.

I should have done this with the 993 seal I just sold against my OE and aftermarket 964 seals I have.

The Üro seal is similar in rubber thickness to the original part, the $70 OEM version is thicker. I couldn't get the door closed when testing it out.
