The shifter feels excellent with the new rod. There is no more play on the ****, big improvement over the golden rod and it’s loose u-joint (only 6 months old I might add). It’s a very direct feel. They are refining the length and adjustment range further as it’s in its shortest setting and I could still use a little extra adjustment to get the **** where I want it. With the mechanism of the Numeric shifter, a shorter rod brings the **** towards the rear of the car, and lengthening it pushes the **** forward.

I’ll let the Numeric guys know that there’s interest in a group buy.

I also picked up one of their shift ***** when I was there but may end up sticking with stock. So I’ll have the shift **** and an aftermarket leather boot for sale.

Have folks been able to get shipping updates from Numeric? I didn't realize there were some personnel issues and a backlog.

I placed and order in August had great initial communication with Jordan. Then it went silent. I got UPS Tracking out of the blue in October but have yet to receive my order.
I’ve heard there were issues but they are posting on Facebook about Black Friday sales.

I did receive my package but my pedal set wasn’t in the box! I called and emailed but of course, no reply.

This is really simple. If it will take more than 30 days to ship a product, you have to tell people. It's an FTC Rule.

When you advertise merchandise, you must have a reasonable basis for stating or implying that you can ship within a certain time. If you make no shipment statement, you must have a reasonable basis for believing that you can ship within 30 days.

Finally got my car back after a massive upgrade including installation of the Numeric Racing Shift Cage.
Of note, I was an early adopter and had purchased a GoldenRod from FVD which required modification by Numeric.
[Personal saga of my difficulty getting the GR back from Numeric Racing is enumerated above.]

Installation on the adjustable GR by "my" shop with multiple redundant bolts & red loctite has resulted in a nice short shift with very clear "feeling" of gearing.
Easy to snap through the gears without mis-shifts and Reverse CLEARLY feels separate

To be honest, I don't have any experience with other aftermarket options.
This solution, albeit a bit of a pain in the *** with some of the issues to get installed, works for me and is definitely a step up from OEM.

Is it strange that I did not need the adjustable golden rod?

NO idea.
I had the "commonly reported" issue of GR too long where shifts toward the top could not get into gear/ would hit the front of the shift cage.

mine taps the cage with the oem rod. I switched to the short setting and covered the cage with electrical harness tape and it’s not as noticeable.

Oh, hmm, maybe the short throw has more clearance. I don't get any clearance issues when shifting but I do have that rattle when at high rpm. I think it is due to the GR solid joint vs the rubber in the OE rod.

I found the short throw position obviated any clearance issues. With the medium setting the shifter hit the cage. I did not go for the GR as I was concerned about NVR without the stock coupling especially as I replaced the stock rubber gear **** with a Delrin Function First one.
