Submitted my order as well! Glad I didn't miss this...
Went for an MRI on my foot Tuesday morning for what would have been first surgery in a few weeks. Hours later, ended up in the ER having emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder.

In a bunch of pain still but otherwise good spirits. This definitely puts a damper on my rebuild as I'm guessing my car will be back from paint in 2 weeks or so and I was told I have to take it easy for 4-6 weeks. No lifting anything heavier than a gallon of milk.
I guess that means putting a 993 back together is on pause. Oh yeah and I still need to get my foot operated on. **grabs a pile of papers; flings them in the air**

I also bit the bullet and ordered golden rod as well. Since im under the car, might as well.
its $260 and i can skip a night out with my boys… haha
i wish Numeric talk to FD and sell with golden rod as a kit! Maybe save $10 or so as package to gauge more interest as a kit..
my $.02

I installed a factory 993 RS shift rod (what the Goldenrod is based on) many years ago. A few years later I fabricated my own forward rod using Heim joints in place of the fail-prone sockets. The shifting has been great over all these years, but your new setup is quite intriguing.
Can you speak to additional NVH as a result of eliminating all of the stock bushings, sleeves, etc.?

Great video!
I notice your discussion at the end regarding tying off the boot to prevent egress of noise and dirt, but no cover was placed on either end of the slider tube holes.
Are those areas not similarly at risk of allowing dirt in/ noise out?
Anyone have a suggestion for something pre-made that might work?
