Default Numeric Racing Short Shifter

What's up guys! We just wanted to drop a development thread on our newest Short Shifter for the 964/993 models.

After recently finishing up our G-Body shifter, the last big market one we had left to create was the 964/993 and it has definitely not disappointed. This shifter is most comparable to our 996/997 shifter with it having 3 Adjustable throw options and no self centering spring on the shifter itself. We kept the Numeric recipe alive using ball bearings on all of our moving axis' and making everything out of pure billet aluminum. The shifts on this thing are absolute rifle bolt and feel so smooth. We were able to eliminate all of the play in the shifter and now the only play coming through is straight from the transmission.

We made a small teaser video comparing the stock shifter to ours so you can see how big of a difference it actually is. We have been working on this one for the better part of the year and are only about a month out from having these ready to be Pre-Ordered so be on the lookout for that! Check out the video below and a few pictures we snapped!

Would like to see an actual running video, but this promises to be a good one. Next up, cables instead of rods?

please to don’t replicate dry shifting. Oh to be Radar and Copans

Our shifter would appear 100% stock from the eye of the cabin, and install will be with zero fabrication! Here at Numeric, we believe in "OEM fitment, aftermarket performance". But also, a collaboration with swine eleven's shift boot delete may be in the works too!

We have it dialed in 100% for C2 and are still working on C4. Our goal is to be for all 964/993 without fabrication. Will keep you updated on the C4 process too!

This would be a big plus to those of us with the shift boot delete currently. Looking forward to hearing more.

Interesting, willing to comparei it against Rothsport/FD shifter combo.
The Rothsport doesn't change any mechanics of the shifter besides lowering the pivot slightly to shorten the throws. They still function on bushings and press fits. They also need to buy the forward rod (for +$200) to eliminate the play in the rod (that also uses bushings and will wear). They also claim to be double sheared for added strength and remove flex but is made of aluminum instead of the stock steel shifter. Our design approaches the shifting in an entirely new way and once you feel it, you will understand the difference it makes!

I had the Numeric shifter and cables in my 2001 Boxster S. The quality was first class and resulting shifting was indeed rifle bolt like. It was amazing.
