Rear lower ball jnt options (calling Bill V)
The old factory rear lower control arm ball joints are shot. The car is track only—motons, Tarret rear links, etc. Do I have any useful upgrade options for the ball joints other than new factory lower control arms?

Do you have the Tarret Pro-series lower arms? If so call Tarett, if not consider using them

FVD remanufactures the rear A Arms. They also do the KT and camber arms, but not the toe arms. Partworks also does it in addition to Hartech, but it was logistically easier through FVD because they have a US-based office so they handled all the customs stuff.

I got a set and was pleased, although I haven’t put on a lot of miles yet. Glenn (Enso) had posted his experience with them and I went that route.
Only issue is the ball joint stud doesn’t have the torx machining inside so I had to clamp the ball joint Morse taper and use a non-locking nut to tighten first and then once there was sufficient frictional force at the Morse taper I was able to replace with a locking nut and tighten to spec. I think another RLer (MikeJ?) has suggested that technique.

If you are on for track only, go for
https://www.rstrada.com/suspension/e...r-control-arms
but careful, as somebody said here before:
"The world's most expensive turnbuckles..."
but the only one i know, which are adjustable ...
and they are excellent

Yes and considering that the part doesn't fit any current Porsche production car and hasn't for 25 years and Porsche never made the part that was put on the car at original assembly, where do we think Porsche Dealer Distribution gets the service part now? From Dansk perhaps?

I've had the ERP pros on my track boxster for 2 years. They work well, are easy to install, are almost infinitely adjustable (not super helpful in this case I don't think), and have held up well. Replacing ball joints is easy and inexpensive. They pose some issues on my platform, but for 993 should work nicely.
