Emergency Water
IanM recomendations sounds like the solution to the problem...drain sunroof venthoses.
many postings on youtube.
Compressed air will work shot up through or the weed wacker idea.
Now to the fix.
Ya need space with electricity. Few hand tools.
Garage or someones space to park the car and open the doors so 7 feet wide+ or 2.5metres
Disconnect the battery.
Cover the negative terminal so no power!
Remove seats.
Remove dme & Immobilizer & alarm module/s
Now it so happens I just learned how to "turn off" the alarm. I was taught this by Lorenfb super user here on RL and applied theory to my own car.
So once car is home or at a place u can work on it read this post by TJ993. Title "Immobilizer Alarm Ignition? Ongoing issue" Lorenfb provided the guidance and aleviated all concerns! Took my car for a run today. She Runs very well!
Next
Get a 18" inch fan - blow dry her insides dry.
Open windows door sunroof and blow air through the cabin interior.
Let your modules dry unless someone has a better suggestion on the drying method.?? Could send an email or call Lorenfb? For advice.
i know my post will turn off the alarm. Ya dont need to spend any $ or pounds! Get her dry. Next u can get her running!

I would add a small space heater to TJs formula above so you're circulating warmer-than-ambient air through the vehicle which will help in the damp climate of UK winters (I lived through 25 before escaping). Open up the space daily to get the moisture out of the garage. Sounds like you need to extract several pints of water from the interior.
450quid doesn't sound so much for a quality drying job here.

Hi Sunil,
OK, lots of good thinking above.
I would consider the following:
--Have the car towed home.
--Detach the car's battery
--Remove the seat, see the below link on the subject
--unplug and open up any controllers including the DME that got wet and blow their guts out with a hairdryer. Also
--blow dry any connectors to them.
--Once they appear dry hose the boards off with spray electronic/electric motor cleaner to displace any small amounts of moisture that may be present
--Pull up the footwell carpet and
--by cutting around the edges with a utility knife release & remove the molded foam sound deadening pad under it and
--let the whole thing dry out before reinstalling the pad & carpet.
--Reassemble and install the controllers,
--reattach the car battery,
--Try starting the car.
--Clear the sunroof drain tubes, see the below ink.

The goal is to dry out the controllers internally and see if they are still functioning first before simply replacing them. Many times a solid-state circuit board can be salvaged by simply drying it out. The garage makes their money replacing parts not trying to salvage them, in this case, that strategy can be very costly.
Hope this helps,
Andy
