They're keeping plenty of others. I helped catalogue some of these for the sale.

I think Goodings sale estimates might be a tad low…color rarity and optional bits should help, as I trust whatever original parts would be included in the sale. Gotta believe the 1 of 1 Jade Green metallic/linen(IIRC)will be the one. But the Turq Blue is my personal favorite.

Hunch says they're placing too many on sale simultaneously and they could be fighting each other for attention; keeping in mind almost none of Rudy's WBs are 'generic'.

Not going to second guess what the family wants to do. It may not be about the money, they may simply want to close this chapter of their life, and start to move on. While it may not be the path some of us would have chosen, I think we have to respect the family's wishes and not criticize them, but wish them the best. Lots of truly one of a kind cars, I am just happy that we were allowed a glimpse at them.

Be good people!

Most of WB's for sale are 4S. Maybe they decided to keep the 2S cars.

Did all of those 44 cars on that page belong to Rudy? The packards, '51 Ferrari, 935s and 718 RSK? I had no idea he had anything outside of modern Porsches, M3s and 2002s.

@gonzilla - no, not all of those 44 belonged to Rudy. Here's a web page with more information on Rudy's cars that will be up for auction.

Hello,

I own one, and I know of just one other US Blue Turquoise C4S besides Rudy’s. I know of a couple C2S as well.

When Rudy learned that I bought my Blue Turquoise C4S, he decided to bring a different color car to Das Renn Treffen. He told me that he knew I was going to bring mine. So he brought his Ocean Jade C2S. That was a very cool thing to do - he was an incredible person. Couple pictures of my BT C4S and his Ocean Jade C2S from DRT in 2019.

Rudy was awesome. He helped me find mine and make it perfect, gave me lots of time and let me come hang. He went out of his way multiple times to do me favors. I think of him every time I get in my car and its a nice reminder that genuine, laid back and nice people still exist. I hope the new owners appreciate what they get.
