Interesting recent sale of a celebrity owned 993T on BAT.

https://www.hagerty.com/media/market...11-turbo-have/

"We have to say, of all the celebrities we would associate with owning a rare, ultra-desirable aircooled Porsche 911, Denzel Washington wouldn’t be near the top of our guess list. Surprise, surprise—it turns out that for the past 25 years, the ten-time nominee and two-time Academy Award winner harbored a 1997 Porsche 911 Turbo in his garage, a fact that surfaced due to its listing—and successful sale for $410,993—on Bring a Trailer this past week."

Yessss ...which means mine at 181k miles has a chance at getting close to that! ...If I were to ever decide to sell, that is. LOL!

All I can say is WOW! All I wanted in 2001 was my "dream car" ...never thought my dream car would actually skyrocket! Why doesn't this ever happen to things I don't wanna keep?

i was thinking the same thing. my 165k mile coupe is not going to be sold in my lifetime but it is a little cool to think this thing that we all valued so highly is now so much more widely appreciated.

It's neat to see that IF I ever sold I could get $70k, ( I'm at 130k miles) but at the same time I would never have bought one at these prices. I would probably be looking at Caymans.

Cayman is definitely the runner-up to a 993 when wanting to spend reasonable (ie, pre-Covid) money..

Not a narrow body, but I would say that price is in line.

Why does the ad show “first registration 12/1986”?

Quite a bit of fluctuation in prices. It seems as if BringATrailer may soon become known as BringABrinksTruck, some of the final sales prices they generate are crazy. Just need 2 or 3 guys who really want it.
