Default Chris Walrod Gauge Trim Rings

I understand a few years back Chris Walrod was making some trim rings for inside the gauges. Does anyone know if he is still doing these? Or does anyone have some lying around that they are now using and would like to sell? These look cleaner than the ones that you can get from Rennline... IMO.

Thanks, Bob

I exchanged PM with Chris a few months ago and he’s not offering these at this time b/c the machine shop closed and not enough demand to warrant resourcing.

Chris's rings are the best! I wish I had a pair, they're so minimal.!!

I found these trim rings out of Hong Kong. They come with double sided adhesives and so far I am very pleased with them. contact info: briceleung@gmail.com

@orbeamike I have a set of those currently on my car, I got them from a guy in Germany that machines them- but essentially the exact same design.. I liked them for a while, now I find them really distracting.. I may try to get them anodized charcoal or dark gray...

I have had a set of the Walrod ones in my car for 8 or 9 years. Im also starting to not like them. May take them out. Funny this post came out. I was just looking at them last night. Thinking kinda fast n furious looking so mine may go away.

I’ve had Walrod rings in my 993 for nearly 10 years. Still love them. That, along with aluminum shift **** and handbrake, brighten up a funereal interior.

If you find the austere beauty of the 993 interior on a somber funeral note; I highly recommend getting a 996! Its like a Fiesta with her cavalier swoopy interior design lines, plastic parts whose PU soft touch surface coatings have become sticky as they degrade and all them ovals!

Hey Mark! Funny - I just had the same thought while looking at mine yesterday. Car came with them and I have always generally been mildly positive about them but now wondering if I might better enjoy the original look.

Something is in the water, had the same exact thought a month or so back. Weird. I'm going to leave them in before doing something rash, there must of been a disturbance in the force........
