Default I can't believe it but I am BACK!

Not that anyone missed me but after selling my 993 C2S for $56K and my 993 TT for $70K to build a 1973 RSR Backdate, I figured I was priced out of the 993 world with the recent craziness. I was walking around Luft seeing all these beautiful 993s and just remembering back to the two great cars I had let go at the top (I know, I know) of the market. Friday I get a PM on Pelican that says "Are you still interested in the car?", I didn't remember sending a PM about a car recently then I looked at the date I sent the PM and it was from 2013, literally 10 years ago. The owner changed his mind and didn't sell but returned all of the PMs a decade later. The car was a 993 NB with 100K miles for $24K and he was looking for $50K now for the car with 150K miles and rebuilt title. I sent a Venmo to hold it and I am picking it up this friday!

So fellow 993ers, I am going to make this the perfect daily driver since the RSR is a bit hard when the humidity hit in SC. I am going to do a 3.8 or a TPC with a fresh 3.6 rebuild and throw an RS Clubsport kit on it since it needs some TLC on the body already. Excited to share it with everyone and mess up a bunch. Here is what took the two 993s away from me. A car that took 6 years and Elevendy Gagillion Billion dollars to complete but it is almost perfect.

This is worthy of a feature story in Panorama or Excellence!

just like a bad penny …you keep turning up! Congrats…choose wisely for the shop “around” you, as you know how difficult skilled hands on a 993 can be. Recently had a conversation with another Rennlister about your issues with a CT based shop where things went sideways, unfortunately that long trusted shop continues their downward spiral.

Here’s hoping all turns out well for you, and this one stays for a while.

Congrats again!

not Bart, but Kevin IIRC. Bart(Academitec)sold UserA that high mile C2S…ironically at Hershey a number of years ago. I was a witness to that transaction as a matter of fact

I’m just like Bart, except not as rich, not as funny, not as good looking but we share a talent of getting women we don’t deserve to marry us!

Guys, where are the best RS kits on the market now?

Wire sent, autobody shop lined up and I reached out to TPC for the work. 0-60 from Fridays PM. I am sooooo excited!

All I need is some help choosing the build. RS, RS Clubsport or RSR. I am leaning Clubsport. TPC is going to dyno the car and do a leakdown to figure out next steps for the engine.

I am officially back to take good advice, give bad advice out, overcomplicate easy fixes, save money doing "cheap" fixes that will enevidably cost three times what correct fixes are and asking lots and lots of dumb questions.

What you really mean is that we share a talent of finding women who know that the only mistresses we'll ever have are kind we keep in the garage.

The ones we spend too much time and money on, get real dirty with, curse at and then just kick to the curb when we get tired of them....and then of course our wives put up with the inevitable depression we go through regretting getting rid of those past mistresses.

And then the cycle repeats itself.

Congrats on getting back into a 993...even if it is a NB 🤭.

I'm more into group a group thing now so please assist my financial well being so I can acquire these two centerfolds....I wonder if GoFUNDme will allow me to start a campaign to help me achieve utopian happiness?

On its way to PA to get the full RS Clubsport Body Kit put on. Need to find some nice wheels and then install a set of PSS10s. I am going with a 3.8 mild build as opposed to the TPC since the cost was about the same. These wheels will be for sale if anyone wants them.
