Default 993 Insurance

What insurance companies are people using for 993 insurance? I have been with Hagerty for years but they keep raising the premium to what I feel is too high.

I use Pure for everything (cars, home, umbrella, collections, household staff injury, etc)

All the cars are agreed value coverage that I adjust as necessary.

Default 993 "Actual Cash Value" Insurance ... 2023 Cost?

What is too much $ -? .. Leyland West has insured (ACV) us for decades,,, a few of our vintage cars; nothing stupid money with all are under $40.- 50K, value. ..The '98 993 S is an outlier (ACV) $185K @ $1,390. annually. .. In 2021 Leyland West suggested raising the (ACV) amount from $155K to the present $185K ... The incremental, adjusted cost was $92.00 .. 3,000 miles a year, and no UBER service work....Zip code 81657 Vail, CO .. I'm 63, Frau is 59 .. Vehicles are garaged.. Our insurance history is minimal with the exception of an auto theft claim in 1990. ('89 GTI) Auto, Home, Rental properties, etc.

$1,400. annually for only the 993 S coupe while it sucks,,, it seems par having checked with competitive (ACV) insurance offerings.

In NY, which has high ins. rates, I am using Grundy.

3K miles per year, Grundy was $633, Hagerty was more than 2X that with more restrictions.

You may want to give State Farm a call. State Farm offers classic and antique automobile insurance. Make sure when you call, you ask for an agent that is familiar with classic and antique automobile insurance.

You guys in the 6 or 7 states where Porsche Auto Insurance is offered are missing out. A Best (A-) Company rating, Agreed Value, only Porsche Parts, only Porsche Certified repair shops, easy, no hassle to get coverage.
AND, much cheaper rates based on mileage driven, checked every 6-months when you send photos of your odometer readings.

Do you know whether or not underwriting requires a private garage? In my condominium, others share the same private garage, but most underwriters won't write the policy on that basis. They get freaked out if any other residents walk through the garage, even though the garage is private.

Unfortunately Porsche Auto Insurance is not offered in New York….would have been my first call if it had been available.

New York is a big place so don't go by what anyone on any forum is quoting without knowing exactly where they are and what their driving record is like.
No way anybody is going to write me a policy for $633 where I live in NY, even with a clean driving record.

I use Grundy, I’m 35 with my 993 cab ACV set to $70,000, my R32 skyline Gts-4 coupe set at $25,000, and my 73’ Honda cb350 set at $5,000. My premium is $700 a year for everything.

In NY, State Farm will only write agreed value if you have historical plates - parade use only.

Many factors go into the rate:

- your credit score
- zip code
- claim hsitory
- driving record
-age
- ages and driving records of other people in your household

If you tell your insurance company that you are using it for Parade Use Only and your car gets stolen or damaged or causes an injury to someone anywhere, good luck collecting unless you have evidence that you were coming from or going to a well publicized event.
