Looking for windshield template drawing
There’s a lot of threads out there on this but no conclusive answer. So before I beg Mike Cap to mail his templates to me, does anyone have a drawing of these templates? I’m specifically looking for front but while I’m at it I’ll collect the rears also.
Allmine had drawings years ago as he made a batch for sale. This seems like a perfect opportunity for a 3D printer. Just need a scan.
does anyone have a drawing they can share?

Would be a good find / archive on rennlist to have those templates so they can be reproduced.
Loaned out fronts that were never returned, but still have the rears (which have never been used / needed).
Recently had track 993 windshield replaced w/o using front templates, have been happy with the results. Two other 993's were done (one at the same time) by the same installer and he didn't use templates, fitment seems fine on the other two 993 too.
The install removed the old adhesive, cleaned the tracks, touched up surface rust with primer (not visible with window / gasket installed), something he carries with him an d uses on many installs. Then with great skill (consistent bead), applied adhesive to new glass inner edge, then using a helper and suction cups flipped over the glass with suction cups as grab points, walked it over, and dropped it on the existing adhesive shadow lines in the corners for alignment. Then placed the new outer gasket in place and use painters tape in the upper corners (for 24 hrs while adhesive sets). Did not drive the car for a day(s), but he said it could be driven in a few hours if needed.
Have to admit, not understanding the real purpose of the templets after watching the install process, to replace an existing windshield, alignment just matches the existing "shadow lines" / shape removed. Maybe the templates are need on a "fresh" window install when no shadow lines exist to align to and or now modern glues hold firm the placement so no sagging (which may have been an issue 25 years ago with prior generation adhesives).

On the 993 the windshield, unlike earlier 911, is mounted with adhesive in the same way as any modern car. For this reason I would think a template is unnecessary as any skilled installer can mount it. Also both the Porsche branded and the aftermarket OE branded windshields come from the same two factories in Germany, go figure.
The most important item about the windshield and the back light glass is to fill the gutter around it once installed with a compatible calk/adhesive discussed on this page:

Having suffered a squeaky windshield I’m motivated to do any/everything possible to prevent this outcome. Trouble is, you don’t know til you drive the car. In my experience, there is no cure other than replacing the windshield.
