Identifying transmission LSD
Is it possible to identify if a g50/20 has a lsd or not from the ID at the bottom? Says G50202. I'm sure I remember reading that last number being a 2 is lsd and 1 is open, but can't find that information anymore...

These things are set up on the loose side from the factory, wear further loosens them up, It's quite common for them to act like an open diff w/o a lot of torque going thu them even if not totally worn out.

Hi lapoune,
Here is my understanding from others.
Lift the rear wheels off the ground. with the engine off and in gear if when turning one of the rear wheels by hand the other rear wheel turns in the opposite direction it is a non-limited slip, Also if the limited slip feature is worn out I understand it will do the same.
For a limited slip turning one wheel and the other wheel will turn in the same direction.
