Celullar / mobile phone on a 1997 Carrera S
Hi all,
for those following me I'm a new owner of the best car ever created and given the car is in top condition, I do feel I miss the phone inside (just for the purpose of having it like new)
When I spoke to the car's inspector he told me all 993 Carrera S came with a phone. I asked him specifically because there was no phone in the options sticker.
The car is C00 and sold in nov-97. Anyone has any idea of what phone would they use those days?
Could I ask the Official Porsche Garage and get an answer? Or anyone else?
It seems there is not much around on the internet (or in the brochure I have found) and I understand it is not a very useful feature on the car, but if possible, I'd love know.
I'd appreciate any help. Thanks

These older phones were analog and used a very old network to communicate. Even if you found one and connected it up, it likely will not work at all as those networks were retired long ago. For looks, I get it. Functionality, not so much.

This is simply not true, as evidence that it was not on the option sticker.

I don’t want to have for using, just to keep it more original, but no idea where to start !!
Thanks!!

Definitely an option I'm happy I don't have. Looks wise and obviously technology wise, a complete non starter. Have no idea why someone would want to add this. I would want to remove it, if I had it.

Not looking to use it !!! Even if you could use it, you would require a kind of hands free arrangement or you could face a nice fine (at least in Europe). Not very pragmatic, I know.
