Default Spare tire inflator kit

Does anyone know the part number for a 1998 993 spare tire inflator kit? Is it different from other years such as a 964? Can't find online (yet).
Thanks

Hi dtortoise9,
The inflator that came with our cars was of very poor quality, good for one or two uses and if original to the car it probably doesn't work at all.
Consider purchasing a functional 12-volt inflator online, for example:

Andy's right. Those things were age-sensitive and, when/if you needed them, wouldn't work.

My guess OP'er is likely looking for the kit to complete the car's accessories that it came with from delivery.

If simply looking for something functional in case of a flat I agree with Andy's suggestion along with a plug kit :

The correct numbered one for a 993 would have been 993 652 053 00

Just in relation to the spare kit. I dont know if it is still the same as in earlier cars, but as a good sample...
I was last year driving from Hamburg to Munich with my 3.2. Half way it happened, on the Autobahn, with good speed, my rear tire blow of, they were a little old already.
Had to get my inflatable spare out and realized ... opps that stuff is old as the car, means 40 years!!

Worked flawless!!

On an early Sunday morning when everything is closed in Germany ...
The German road service ADAC guy stopped by and ask if he could help. I ask him if there is anywhere a Porsche shop in the area ... he laughed at me and ask me if I looked already through the bushes behind me ...
I was in front of the Porsche factory in Leipzig ...
I went straight to their gate (factory and experience center); of course Sunday morning and all closed ... but even the security guys were absolute helpful! I could park my car inside; they told me were i can get tires fast and helped to get a rental so i could continue to Munich, knowing the car is save.
Great guys!

Great story and outcome! Very cool. I also had to change a tire on my '95 993 recently and everything worked flawlessly. Porsche is built to last!!

dtortoise9, if you are looking for originals for keeping, there are numerous on eBay. There are three types used in 993s. The first two are basically the same except for the "Inter Compressor" is printed in white the other is all black. These are made in Mexico, and have reliability issues, great for shows. The 3rd compressor is similar to the Boxster and 996, I have seen these only in 2 1998 models one has a #996.952.053.00. the other had no part number

The problem with 993 flat tires is usually not the spare or the inflator but an absolutely criminally insane "jack", which could as well be a loaded gun pointed at you. I mean, I've change race car tires 4x per weekend for many, many years, but could not lift the 993 when I had a blowout a year ago. That was a fun experience...

That “widowmaker” oem jack is the worst! I replaced it with a 944 scissors jack I found on ebay.

Now think about standing on the site lane of the German Autobahn and you have to replace the left rear tire when guys passing less than 5m from your back with > 200kmh ...

I do not believe it's legal in Germany nowadays.

It is!
You have to place your warning Triangle 100 meter behind you and than you are up to the task.
You can call for help, as there is every 2 km a special emergency phone along the Autobahn for this purpose.
If the ADAC (yellow Angels) comes for help, they will just park some distance behind you, run their warning lights and get to work if needed.
They, the yellow guys, patrol the Autobahn regular and stop by anyway if they see somebody in distress.

What about using one of the newer portable air compressors? Like this:
Amazon Amazon

(I have no experience with or connection to them)

I saw this compressor advertised today and I am curious if it functions well.
