Can a manual wheel be installed on a tiptronic car without too much of a problem? I would rather just use the floor shifter plus I don't like the look of the buttons.

I don’t see why not. You’ll just lose shifting functionality.

in my former ride i put a 360mm atiwe paddle wheel in my tip. subjective but i thought looked and felt great. ps i liked the floor shifter better too.

Same same. Easy swap and looks much better (IMHO) than the stock one with the shifters on the wheel. On my prior tiptronic I would occasionally hit the button and sent the RPMs sky high. I also only used the console shifter for shifting.

Also, I swapped out the shifter plate for a boot. Loved the look.

I would not change out the wheel simply because you don't use/like the Tiptronic switches. If you must, save the original for the next owner of your car.
