yes just got mine. Hot garbage. The lenses are so thin you can flex them with your thumb. How do you think that will hold up to rocks?
…. And mine are completely dead out of the box. Neither side works. Not sure if they are wired wrong internally but I would never suggest buying these things. I could go on and on but the quality isn’t there. The tails look and function great but the headlight are not good.

Yes Gert is solid. I’m going to buy his as my lenses are new. I made some videos I may throw up on the Morimoto’s. They won’t respond to me which is why I’m being so vocal. They won’t return my call or emails. I have their tail lights and they are nice. I’m just taken aback by these junky headlights.

Wonderful technology but IMO they don't look right on the 993, the Tore Bergville headlights are one of the best upgrades, everything looks stock similar to having Litronics option. Also day time running lights beings Angel Eyes on these morimoto just doesn't do it for me..as for the busy rear tail light, no way!

and why I kept everything stock except Tore’s LED Kit.

BergvillFX
I installed the headlights (high and low) as well as taillights from BergvillFX. Installation is quick and easy, requires no modification. Everything from Tor works really well for a 993. So much better than stock lighting.

One of the first things I did with my 993 when I bought it in 2011 was upgrade the headlights to HIDs. The original lights were so dim they were dangerous. LEDs weren’t available for the 993 at the time.
im happy with the HIDs and see no reason to change. Just my opinion..

I’ve seen some videos where the side units have not been secured to the central unit properly, i think because the x3 locating rubber grommets are softer rubber than in the OEM units and are therefore easier to dislodge (push in) and the prongs do not locate properly. There should be some play by the nature of the rubber locators but not so much as you can pull the side units to the side and out from the centre ;-)
extract from my notes :
you need to be careful fitting the side units into the main central unit as there is a technique to it not stated on the instructions. The side units are secured by one screw AND 3 "prongs' which push into and located into 3 rubber bushes on the side of the central unit. You have to locate the prongs into the robber bushes blind and if they are not inserted correctly the unit will not be secure. Nb the rubber bushes by design mean there is some play in the side units even when secure but you shoukd not be able to pull the units forward when secure. The technique is to loosely fit the screw which still allows the side units to move around and you can push the prongs home and then tighten the screw. The rubber bushes on the new unit are softer than those on the OEM and it's easier to push the bushes into the central unit whilst trying to locate the prongs. If there is too much play in the side units with the screw tightened you have not located the prongs properly and probably pushed the bushes in. Reseat them and try again.
