Fixed it for you Joe, ya f-ing millennial...

Also looking forward to seeing how the 4S turns out Ilko - though my OCD screams like lambs in the night whenever I see bodyshop pics!

Color change, on Arena red? Boooo. Kidding, your car, your choice.

Hope it is something like Turquoise or Riveria. Looking forward to the updates.

Windows out too, you don't mess around.

Ultimately I opted to buy new ones as well as new parking brake shoes. Now I can tell you everything there is to know about the parking brake system in these cars. Everything!

While the car was stationary I fixed the CCU (it wasn’t turning on), removed the ghastly rear wiper, installed new deck lid shocks, new rear center reflector, new wipers, new wide oval tips, new spoiler wall and I’m sure I’m forgetting other things… I have a 996 3-spoke steering wheel waiting as well.

After all the work was completed I went to have the car smogged today. I figured that in case the battery had been disconnected prior to delivery, 300 miles of me driving it would set the readiness codes. The good news is that it passed the strict CA sniffer test. With 145K original miles on it!! But sadly the CAT and EVAP had not been set and it failed... I’ve owned two 1996 993s and this is my third. I’ve never had a readiness code issue until today. Guess I’ll be following the specific driving methods over the next few days…

Here is a pic that encompasses the mood from the past week… More is planned, stay tuned!

That's a fking nice garage.

I do appreciate the fact that the Beer fridge is blocking the door from the house - no interruptions

For me... I really appreciated how he strategically parked the Ferrari so that if that wheel from his 993 tipped over, it would break the fall and prevent scratching the face.

I've been dying for an update here. Perhaps I missed it but did he say he's doing a color change? I assumed the Arena Red was just getting a fresh coat.

Been checking in hoping for clarity.

Haha.. I missed those two "blue" references ("blue right past", "blue in the face").

I guess some folks know the scoop. I'm intrigued. Everyone knows I love a color-change.
