Default knowledge/opinions

I'm somewhat interested in this car, as i miss my old 993 - lost to divorce many years ago.

Would appreciate any opinions and/or feedback on this from those of you with more experience.

Thanks in advance

Viv

Wow that is a stunning color combo! Is it worth a roughly 40k premium? Your call.

that is priced hilariously high. if you're patient & vigilant you could save tens of thousands of dollars buying from a private seller.

If you're going to keep it very long term then the price pain should minimized somewhat. If not, then think long and hard for any such Cab over 95K. Good luck in your search!

If that were a coupe, the price would be within reason but still at the upper end of the range. Add in transport since it's on the other side of the country. The more you look, the more you learn.

Do it if you like the color.

You will not find another.

I would pay $50-70 for a Cab of common colors/similar miles - add whatever color premium on top for this one. I paid $60 a year ago for a 67K mile very sharp black/cashmere '95 cab last year (maybe not as perfect as the yours - but a very very nice driver) - and while it was checked over by my independent and pretty good - I've already done a clutch, engine mounts, shifter bushing/linkages, speakers, cab top cables and latches...all of which "worked" when I bought it - but were either suboptimal or broke after it was delivered. So plan accordingly as a former 993 owner you know the drill - these are not new cars. Mine is more of a lifestyle hobby than a car (which might be the case for anyone I guess).

Price is very high. I've been working on 2 cab deals at less than $75k with 20,000 and 29,000 miles on them.

If you can, you should. Since the prices is in the upper range, hopefully there is a room for a discount.
I am more of a black 911 guy but I just love this Riviera blue and the combo with the tan interior and wood trim is just perfect.
You have a Varioram engine with the frigging "Varioram" lettering in the manifold, Twists rims... all good stuff in my book.
The fabric roof looks new, has it been redone recently?

The car seems in very good condition. Ask them to refit the glovebox properly - should be easy to do.

Beautiful car. The dealer has room to negotiate a compromised price. Get a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI). Nothing like a Cabriolet with the convertible top open. I agree with Gbos....life is short. Live your dream!!

Good luck. Any technical advice needed prior, or post purchase, is on this site. The best!!! Keep us informed.

I live in Portland, close to this dealership, have been there several times. It's a beautiful showroom, always have nice vehicles- always highly priced. It's owned by a Ukrainian family, or used to be.
I can check it out if someone wishes?

I know I'm way out of synch with the market, but I just prefer metallic paint. My favorite color for this car is Ocean Blue. Missed out on "beerrsforalls" C2S - twice! - years ago. Had to settle for metallic black turbo.....

Sold on BaT five years ago for half the asking price at Grand Prix, appears to have done fewer than 300 miles since then.

Definitely high. Have a coupe with 42k miles that I am going to be listing for that price or under.
