Has anyone had any experience with the current manufacturers of ‘Fuchs’ style wheels? I have looked at Fikse wheels, Braid USA WHEELS (at Pelican Parts), and Fuchsfelge wheels.
there seems to be a significant difference in price. I’d like to upgrade the stock 17 inch wheels on my 97 993 Cab to 18 inch Fuchs, but have no experience evaluating the differed manufacturers.
Appreciate any suggestions-thoughts from members.

Just so you know MaxLite is actually MaxHeavy that is why I didn't buy their Cup1s for instance.

I did the same exercise years ago. Many options out there and it’s all about how the shape of the pedal in combination with the lip finish and overall wheel size… as some just don’t look right. I looked at a million pictures before choosing mine and about six months after delivery, came upon those offered by augmentwheels.com - and thought they were perfect. I know they are mounted in a 993tt on the site, but man they’re sweet - and Canadian.. Another option to consider.

I just bought some Braid wheels for my GR Corolla for rallycrossing.

I bought directly from Braid USA. They were made to order in Spain, shipped directly to me.

They have a great reputation in racing and rallying, very high quality wheels. Here’s link to their 18” Fuchs-style.

fuchs are supposed to be deep dish and the offsets on our cars doesn't allow for that and so they never look quite right, imho.

I have to agree that they don't quite look right on a 993. However, I must disagree on the deep dish. The original Fuchs had very little to no dish to them whatsoever. Attached is my 71 with original restored Fuchs. This is before I did the suspension refresh on it. It is not longer sitting at factory height.

you're right! my experience with them is in the SC era and the 3.2 era.

Ahhhh, yes. As the hips increased, so did the dish.

I was wondering what it would take to make a WB 993 fit with deep-dish Fuchs-style wheels. I suppose you'd need to tack on GT2-style fender flares to make the butt even wider.

I agree. I think they look terrible on the 993.

Ugh. Yes unfortunately, they don't look quite right for me as well.

The only fuchs I have seen that looked right on a 993 were Rotiform fuchs made with a small face (16” equivalent) and stepped lip. It goes without saying that the car must be lowered to pull them off.

I agree, best looking Fuch style wheel for 993.

If you buy from Fuchfelge USA be prepared for a loooong wait. They told me 4-6 weeks for the Fuchs I bought for my 67 911...ended up being 5 months
