Default PCCM Installation LA Area

Hi all,
I recently acquired a 993 with a non-functioning aftermarket radio. I want to swap it out for a Porsche Classic radio but I don't know who to have do the installation. Does anyone have any recommendations for a shop in the greater LA area? Did anyone have a Porsche dealer do the installation? Or an independent mechanic? Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I've always used Haas Entertainment in Culver City, but recently they've been difficult about installing parts not purchased from them. Maybe you'll have better luck...

Here's two options. All Points Automotive installed my PCCM (1 DIN)...the porsche classic radio looks awesome and sounds so much better than my stock radio. Contact Steve (the owner) at 310.663.5782. 2923 182nd Street, Redondo Beach. he did the install for $150 on the weekend. dropped the car off. Of course, once they installed the new receiver, the speakers sounded terrible. I ultimately had Haas Entertainment install the speaker system, but I believe All Points Automotive would have done a good job for a lot less money.. Haas installed Hertz speakers including a pre-amp. They used my original speaker grills and painted them to bring them current. not cheap, but Haas did a very good job. recommend both.

We’re a bit south of LA, Costa Mesa, and can take care of classic radio installation along with other services for your 993

pm if you’d like more information 👌

I just had mine installed in Huntington Beach, its pretty straight forward especially if you have a stock radio in the car- Just know that most likely you will have to adjust the EQ settings to get more sound + need to raise the Bluetooth sound level in the settings

..i ordered mine brand new from Sun Coast, but the Mic isn't working, and its a very simple plug in for the mic, plugs in one place and thats it so it must be the MIC itself, called sun coast and they told me its a warranty claim i have to contact the manufacturer lol...so for now i have no Mic , still shocked suncoast won't do a thing about it

Does anyone know why Sun Coast is $1350 with nav, and Pelican charges $1533 (presumably with nav)? Also, is the Nav worth it? Thank you!

Suncoast always has lower prices from my experience. Got mine there and free shipping to boot !

Default Costa Mesa Shop recommendation

Porsche uses Rocco’s Auto Tech in Costa Mesa.
He did mine and was impressed with his shop.

Anyone have an issue with no sound on the new PCCM plus radio? installed mine and there is no sound. The radio goes through the configuration, it links up to my phone, but no sound.

Yes. I had poor sound that was due to faulty wiring to the power antenna booster. The PO had wired an iPod into the CDR 24 system; removing it cause some antenna issues. The tech at Rocco’s reconnected the leads to the power antenna and it works good now.
Also, there is a utube that covers another sound issue and deals with a bypass filter…. wasn’t my issues, but it’s out there.

Just wanted to say thanks for the referral to Haas. George and the team at Haas were great. They were even able to mount the cable box in the ashtray.

I have my car scheduled with Haas as well. Good to hear that the cable box will mount in the ashtray, as that's where I want mine, too.
