Default How does this alignment look?

PSS10 with tarett toe arms in the rear. Running at RS + 8mm in the rear. The rear camber looks suspect to me. Do I need to replace the camber arms with adjustable ones?

Can you repost with higher resolution? But too blurry for me to read.

Just curious - have you driven the car since the alignment? If yes, how does it feel? If no, then its a bit of a guessing game.

Real concern…does the shop have the tool and KNOWLEDGE to correctly set the rear kinematic toe?

Thanks for the IPhone tip!
Doesn’t look too bad, a safe touring set up. I prefer a little less toe on the rear. Front camber is difficult to improve upon so you get what you get without upgraded mounts.

it was the Porsche dealer. Is the “k” silent in kinematic?

That doesn’t mean anything. The dealers only know how to service the new cars and rarely use the special tools. It was probably sub contracted out.
they also probably didn’t touch the kinematic so you’ll be OK.
more likely the kinematic links are are aged and will make the car lurch in the back at corner apex when you get on it.
I put the Stiffer RS links in and now there’s no adjustment necessary.

kinematic is rear steering actuated by lateral G. No the K isn’t silent.

all new suspension in the car, and tarett rear toe arms…that should almost guarantee a change in the kinematic. In my 14 years of ownership, I’ve had more bad alignments…than good ones. I’ve travelled hundreds of miles to “highly recommended” shops, only to drive away with an ill handling car. Once you know how these can feel, when properly set up/aligned….you always wanna replicate that. Shops can come and go, and/or stop servicing these cars as they get fewer and farther between. Sometimes you just don’t seem to “fit” in with the shop either.

@Sbouslog I would kindly ask the dealer service manager, or the tech whose name is on the paperwork…if they the kinematic was set properly. That’s if they even have the tool, and the knowledge to use it.

I had a conversation with a somewhat local Indy last summer, service manager and owner raved about the experience of their senior tech. “Ya we have quite a few 993’s serviced here, yes he knows how to align and set up the suspension…lots of experience.”

So before leaving I see that senior tech in the employee lunch room, and start talking 993’s with him. “What’s kinematic toe” was his reply…he wasn’t being sarcastic.

It’s driving well now. When I get RS uprights and new rear upper control arms I’ll revisit it again with an Indy shop that knows what they are doing.

A good alignment shop will ask you about your intended use, tire life expectations and over/under steer preference. The generic alignment range is very wide and will result in a big variance in driving feel. A good shop will bias the settings for a particular end result to much tighter precision than the limits you see in your print out.

Hi Magdaddy,
Yes, I have my alignment done at a dealer where they do use the factory Kinmatic tool.
Even if the guy knows what he is doing and has the tool, getting its adjustment right is hit or miss it seems. I have had to take the car back to the dealer to get it redone on occasion.
