Laminex headlight film protection install
My shop told me 993 headlight lenses (BOSCH) have been discontinued by Porsche -so new old stock will cost u $$$$$$$$$$$$$.
So i purchased head light film protection.
The light smoke tint reduces the BUG eye effect
before
Drivers side completed
effect.

Just installed a fresh set of lenses... what a difference it made! Nonetheless I like the idea of the protective film, especially if you are on the track.

I just checked and neither L or R headlight lens are NLA. They're both showing as available from Porsche.
Would be very odd for those parts to go NLA in my opinion. It's not some obscure part w/ little demand.

I've been running the non-tinted ones since I replaced my lenses a few years ago. Cheap insurance.

U will need a hair dryer or heat gun to make the film to lay flat on the very top of the 993 lens.
Took me 15 mins to install. No wrinkles or air bubbles.
Good luck

I purchased a set of headlamp protectors from Darrin at FD Motorsports a few years ago. Truthfully you cannot tell they are there but they definitely protect the glass. Highly recommend them. I’m sure he still sells them. RC

I have read more than once that the fluting of the current MM/AL lenses are different from the BOSCH/BOSCH AL lenses but I don't have pictures or proof.
