They stole my flying pig!

Sorry to see 993’s getting this attention. We’re all future donor cars now.

That’s my flying pig!

The vision of this car is compelling. It is what I would do if I had lots of money. In a way, I apply the watch out what you wish for rule because if I had such a car I would be way too emotionally attached to it spending away my savings on the ownership of it. The base model 1996 I am lucky to own in that it is a joy to drive and other than gas, tires & oil it has not required any expensive servicing or repair for tens of thousands of miles. As I always say it's smarter to be lucky than it's lucky to be smart! And, oh yes, the best part of owning it is the huge Porsche-owning community here on Rennlist, Facebook, and in real life Dallas TX, where I live, and all the social engagement being involved with this community offers.

They’ve been basing their SCRS restomods on the 993 for the last 18 months :

I saw one in the flesh last April. Attention to detail is superb.

Among the modern restomods, I love Tuthill's work the most. The 911K is totally mental.

I don't know about detail, that engine foam looks a little wavy and no pad keeper.

I fitted a new one to my 964, and even with engine removed, it’s not an easy job !! And you only get shot at it !!
