Default Stalling

Car runs beautifully…perfect…but when I come to an intersection and brake..rev drops..stalls…start up and go, all good….next intersection stalls. Does this about four times then after about 10 minutes, simply stops stalling - all good again.

Clearly a little unnerving…particularly if my wife is driving. Any ideas/ theories? It running beautifully today.

Anything to start chasing down?

Have you checked/cleaned the ISV (idle speed valve)? https://rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/1284047-isv.html

ISV was the first thing I thought of also.

Can be a PITA to remove but there are good DIY's & tips. it's been 12 years or so but I think I remember spraying the rubber sleeve/grommet that holds the ISV with PB Blaster and letting it soak in overnight to help.

Hi Overdraft,
The page below discusses root causes of idle and poor running issues:

I'll "eat my hat" if it's not the ISV. When you yank it out I'm sure you'll find it's all gummed up with oil residue. Get a can or two of carb or brake cleaner, remove the ISV and start spraying.

When you shake/rotate the ISV like a
rattle drum rattle drum
you should hear the valve moving around freely, like this:

exactly as predicted. Removed ISV….it’s dirty and gummed up…can of brake cleaner spray…shake ISV nothing… spray more fluid…hear sort of a rattle…more fluid..then rattles,..more cleaner..rattles freely now and looks nice and clean. Reinstall in the car, runs beautifully..no stalling. Thanks all!
