Hey guys - just doing some due diligence on a 993 cab and I need a recommendation for a shop in the Lansing, MI area that knows 993's and can do a PPI for me.

Anyone come to mind? Local A/C'd indy shop?

Howdy. I don't know about the Lansing area but in the metro Detroit area (Waterford specifically) there's a place called Munks Motors that seems to be the goto independent for Porsche in this area. It's about an hour from Lansing give or take. Friendly folks. They did the post-purchase on my 96 cab about 19 years ago and it was very thorough. If I didn't get a very solid recommendation in Lansing, I'd advise doing whatever to make Munks work.

I'd also add Jeff at Auto Techniques in Novi, which would be slightly closer. Haven't been there in ages but Jeff helped me sort out an odd alternator multi-failure issue and sort it out with Bosch under warranty. Definitely knew his stuff. That shop had a ton of 911's when I was there.

Hi Zeus,
What one calls an inspection varies widly between inspectors.It is always best to give them guidance as to what to inspect.
