Default Lifetime Members Unite

Some time back I was honored with a "Lifetime Member" designation. A great gesture on the part of John and Jen. However, my interpretation of that designation is NOT that I would be granted "free" membership - even if that was their initial intention.

I choose to interpret this designation as a responsibility to be a productive contributor and a reflection of my own intention to continue to support Rennlist.

Therefore, upon the expiriation of my inagural two year membership, I have chosen to renew my membership for another two years and pay the $32 (one of the all time great bargains of Porsche ownership and now less than the cost of one tank of gas) as a gesture of thanks and appreciation for all this community (and its founders) have offered me - and as a reflection of what I see as my duty as a Lifetime Member to do whatever I can to support the infrastructure that makes all of this possible.

I encourage other Rennlist Lifers to do the same (though I suspect that you already do).

Rock on Rennlist

Thumbs up

well put!

i've always wondered about that title. i actually thought it was a different level of membership (meaning more $ - something like an alumni lifetime membership) and not something bestowed upon people.

Cheers,
Boris

Maybe someday I'll make it to the Lifetime membership status.

How do you become a Lifetime member?? I have been fascinated by it. Addison did you send 100 diamonds to Jen? A bunch of 993 unfrozen rotors to John?? I think FBfisher is great for doing this John and Jen arent running a home for wayward Porschephiles!

Paul, I believe a Lifetime membership is not quantifiable. According to John, it is a way he recognizes those that, in his eyes, have displayed/live what the spirit of Rennlist is all about.

With that said, I'm sure 100 diamonds to Jenn would go a long way!
