Default Door Seal. What's the difference from 964??

Need to replace the door seal as it's a bit frayed from foot drag. Checked pricing at a few sources and I spilled my coffee! A hundred plus for a piece of rubber? My question concerns the difference from previous models of the seal. It appears that the door is the same configuration as the 964 and previous models.
Is this the usual marketing skullduggery or is there truly a difference in the seal?
Anyone ever tried to use the older version?
Thanks again.

I looked in my Performance Products catalogue and it looks like the $49.95 1989-94 C2/4 "Door Seal Coupe" is different from the similar but much more expensive $150.95 Door Seal on the 993 page - different part numbers at least. Hope that helps.

Replaced left and right in 2003 for about $155 for the PAIR (was about $230 list accd'g to the receipt). Try Suncoast Porsche.

Looking at the paperwork, they were 964 numbers, but I don't remember anything different than the OE on my '95 when I was replacing it.
