How many of us really have a front license plate (mounted). Have you ever been hassled or pulled over for not having one????

I can't stand the thought of ever having to ruin the front end, even with a cool plate.

my car didn't come with a front plate and i haven't bothered to get one.

have one, not mounted and I had the mounting holes filled when I got the Euro turbo bumper painted (2 yearsAgo) knock on wood but haven't been stopped yet.

I've always had one just because I don't want the hassle. In Palo Alto, where I used to live, the parking cops were ticketing any parked car that didn't have a front plate. They even ticketed all the cars on my (residential) street. I was standing there watering my roses when the guy wrote the tickets (I asked him why he ticketed the cars because it wasn't obvious to me).

Now that my 993 is in Florida, I've yanked the plate. I figure if Florida cars don't need a front plate, then my car doesn't need one.

No front plate for almost forty years and many cars... Just very lucky, I guess..

Was just curious. Especially with us California guys. I don't have one on my P-car truck or Audi and have never been hassled.

I wish I didn't have one on my car. But where I live and work, the police will definitely pull me over if I didn't...ask me how I know.

No plate, but just recently got a ticket by the meter maids.

I rarely park on the street, but when I do, I am going to put my plate on the dash so it's visible through the front windshield. Hope that will work....

No...not on my 993.
and yes they are on my other cars and SUV ( but they're on the vehicles only after I got harassed twice by the airport police at LAX )

No front plates on my 993 or my wifes Mini. No front or rear yet for the Cayenne. I figure I'll wait a year or two before I put the rear on.

Lots of people drive around CA without Front OR Rear license plates...
I dont understand this.

I seem to be the only one getting tickets for no Front.
