HELP> want to buy 95-98 993 Cab
I just signed up on the forum and want to buy a 95-98 993 cab. I'm a PCA member and have checked Panorama website and e-bay but haven't found the perfect car>> Arena red, 6 speed, less than 40K miles, leather power seats,++. Any suggestions how to view the universe of available cars??

There is an 97 arena red on Autotrader with less than 20,000 miles. It is in the Pittsburgh area. If you put in zip code 15090 you will find it. Asking price is $47,000

I have a Cab I'll sell.
I know of a very nice, well taken care of '96 Cab. It's sitting in my garage right now. I certainly can't fault your desire for an Arena Red, I've always liked that color. But if you're interested in a 993 owned by a Porsche enthusiast (PCA, Rennlist) then send me a PM. It's not officially for sale because I've been dragging my feet, but since you've inquired here are some details.
$39,500, 55k miles, Black Metallic Paint, Classic Gray interior, Black Top; 6-speed.
All original – no bodywork, great example of 993 cab. Location is Phoenix metro, AZ. I have all records since my ownership and previous owner was also kepts records (car fanatic also). I have had the same Porsche shop maintain my past 3 Porsches and they can provide info also.
Recent (12-18 months)
• New cab top
• New cab locking motors
• Cab motor synchronization
• Bilstein HD shocks w/extra thread
• Techart springs
• Front Protection Bar (great for lowered cars)
• Rear tires (< 1k miles)
• Wheel Alignment
• Rear hood shocks
Other Details
• 18” Technology Wheels
• RSR exhaust
• Polished exhaust tips
• Drilled airbox.
• Cabriolet Wind Deflector
• Silver Hood Crest

Three Wheelin'
Don't look in PANO for your car--the prices in there are ludicrously high and the pickins are slim [looking at the pricing it seems 10-15% higher than autotrader, private sales elsewhere]. Since you are looking for a used car, I would definitely say that color shouldn't matter as much as the quality of the car [I wanted black or Guards red but ended up with Silver b/c many other cars I saw were either overpriced or had stories]...in the end, you may have to wait a while for a specific color combination, and you may find a great car in a different color along the way.
That said, good luck and REMEMBER A PPI before buying one.

Parting was a difficult decision. I don't get to drive it as much as before we moved (I now live in a "construction zone"), so I negotiated with my wife that if I sold it now that I am guaranteed her approval to buy another when the time is appropriate. That's why I've been dragging my feet with selling it. It appears you have many nice mods on yours - I love the color!
dthroop, I agree with VentoGT about selecting a color. If your die hard for Arena Red then follow your heart, but you may want to throw in a few other colors you could live with to help open your options for GOOD QUALITY cars. And of course, always get a PPI.
