Excellent choice! And you already have the engine to back up your new color.

He has the RUF...which comes close to a standard white 993 engine. At least good enough to wear the white color IMHO.

Radar,

It won't change the motor, but may fool other people into thinking that I do. Or I can try to fool myself.......

Hey !!! Within the same rumor it came out that the weak engines were installed in yellow cars...making them as some might say "yellow".

Damn, must be true. My car sure seems slow...guess thats why it needs those two "hair dryers", just to keep up.

Oh - you mean the E-Ram. Mark K. is on the 928 forum, though..?? I haven't installed one - but my 993 is WHITE. I'm pretty sure I'm OK without that gizmo...

YPAF, BTW...

White, yes. And early 95 coupes are especially strong because of the extra cooling afforded by oil circulating through the basket handle.

I thought the rumor was that the OBD I cars have the same hp as the OBD II cars but Porsche quoted higher figures for OBD II to make the owners feel better about the CEL going off every two months!

I disagree with y'all. The weakest engines were put in the Silver cabs with graphite tops that were originally shipped to Texas. I should know. I had one of those suckers.... Couldn't even out run a hillbilly's pick um up

After the introduction of the 993 - the VERY strong 3.6 engines went into:
1) White cars first - 4 wheel drive;
2) White cars - 2 wheel drive;
3) Special wishes..

You will see all strong engines are marked with yellow crayon on the underside of the casing...

As for 996 engines - that's a different subject..... As there were no strong engines nor weak engines. Rather, those were marked by the RMS problem or not...

That,....is VERY funny stuff,....

Finally the real truth...

There's mnore to that though, all OBD I cars that were G. Red, got the extra real strong engines, I'm sure you've heard of that too...

My yellow car followed a white one down the assembly line so I'm hoping that some of that extra horsepower leaked out and into mine!!

THanks
Could Viken BE the mechanic? I mean this guy Viken other than being nice (sometimes) and helpful, he was somewhat knowledgeable, not many people have these lists of more powerful engines available, it is just too much of a coincidence.

Repainting is not going to change the motor by itself, Radar is right. You will need to apply the yellow crayon manually.
