I had an M030/Bilstein HD upgrade done several years ago and I believe a part is missing from the assembly. I stumbled upon a reference to a plastic supporting mount, P/N 993 333 110 01, here on Rennlist. I think I see the part in your photo of the rear shock assembly which shows the unit both assembled and disassembled. Would the absence of this part explain why I can't get my rear height up to ROW M030 spec? Would its absence contribute to suspension noise? And last, can it be installed without complete disassembly?

The referenced part is a small plastic "wafer" that sits between the bottom end of the spring and the metal support--it basically prevents metal to metal contact.
I don't think it does much more than that.
It shouldn't effect your ability to get to ROW ride heights.
However, it might lead to some noise if the spring becomes unweighted from the support and then contacts it again (i.e. slapping of metal parts). But, I think this would be rare.
You might be able to insert it if you jack up the car. There ~might~ be enough room to slip it under the spring. If there is not enough room, you might need to use a spring compressor to compress the spring while on the car.

A quick question on heights:
Is the rear ROW standard height you show a typo? From USA to ROW, the dimensions all decrease in consistent increments front and rear, except rear on ROW std. Shouldn't that dimension be 137mm to keep the rake consistent among the three different ride heights in your original chart I pasted below?
USA Standard: Front 174mm, Rear 157mm
USA Sport: Front 174mm, Rear 157mm
ROW Standard: Front 154mm, Rear 147mm
ROW Sport: Front 144mm, Rear 127mm

I used this site almost exlusively (and so far, sucessfully since the rear end has not fallen of yet!) to install my PSS10's. It is worth the price Jeff is charging now to get a hard copy but the ease of this thread as a clear and visual reference will be missed by future novices such as myself.

i just completed this with p-car, pcarworkshop, instructions that came with PSS10's and the parts catalogue which gives good details on how things fit together. Do your research and start wrenching, not too hard

I'm bummed you removed this useful info that the RL Community found so useful.
You mention a problem & cost with photo hosting, but you can do that right here on RL... You probably know this already, but for others who don't:
Go to User CP in top bar on left.
On left menus, go to "Networking/Pictures&Albums"
Then "Add Album".
Remember to make it public or no one will see the pics in your posts (you will see them regardless and THINK you've got them in the post...)

It's not gone per se, but I've just decided that rather than chase reformatting the entire DIY and then trying to embed the hundreds of pictures I had posted, it was just much easier to compile the DIY into a PDF that I can send.

Honestly, I can't say for sure because I'm not intimately familiar with the 964 suspension and what differences are present between it and the 993.
The best I can say is that my DIY's was directed toward replacing the shocks and springs on a 993. Many people have used my DIY for replacing their struts, although I specifically address the shocks/springs.
Hope that clarifies a bit.

If anything, the 964 install is easier because the 964 doesn't have the multi-link rear suspension. The front is identical. The rear is pretty straight-forward. You need to remove the bolt holding the bottom of the shock absorber to the control arm and the 3 nuts holding the top to the frame on both sides of the engine bay. Install is the reverse.
