Default OE SPORT SEATS

I think I just bought a 993 2S Vesuvio from the very first owner.
I have not yet seen the car. Car is in Germany and I am in Florida.
Anyway , they blocked it for me until next week. I have been looking for
the perfect 993 for a long time and think this is the one. 100% original paint
not to many km's (67000km/ 42000mls).

Today I got the option list and it has option 373 and 374 (oe sport seats) in black int. code SA. Are these sport seats any good ? I have a bad back and was wondering how they compare to the standard ones.

thanks in advance for some info.

The OEM sport seats are an extremely nice up-grade . . . many love them . . . some hate them as being too heavy. My car did not come with them . . . so I've bought some used OEM 996 sport seats . . . now if I could only find time to install them.

As I've never really had any drive time in the upgraded seats . . . I cannot comment on the support for a bad back situation. Perhaps someone else can?

Where in Florida are you?
Is this an Ebay deal?
Use caution when dealing in Europe. I hope you are going to see the car and give them the money
after it's checked out.. Chris

I think Ijust bought one today as well. Mine is in New Zealand where I am.
1997 C2S, Zennith Blue, Turbo spoiler, sports seats, sports exhaust etc.
Grey leather and 30000km's on the dial. Full history and beautifull.
I have put a hold on it until I can fly down over the weekend.
So thats 2 of us today!
Cheers

i find the sports seats to be very supportive... they ride a little higher than the stock seats and are a bit heavier (the two things i dont like about them)... but they look great and are comfortable to me

Am in central Florida (the land that Mickey build)
Thanks for the advice but am going to see the car myself. It will stay in Europe anyway as I live there as well.

I added factory sport seats to my car. In my opinion they simply complete the interior look of the car. The hard seatbacks have a nice aggressive look. I find them to be very comfortable.

I added sport seats to my car because they look cool. I do not think they are more comfortable because the wings on the seat back make me hunch my shoulders a bit. But hey, if I wanted comfort over looks I'd be driving a 996

I like the 993 sport seats, their shape and the hard backs. I do not like fact that the leather is hot in the summer and cold in the winter. One of the reasons I sold them is because I put in cloth covered Sparco seats instead of the Sport Seats...yes its not that pretty but they are way more comfortable in the sun (with the Targa top) and the cold, and the bonus: lighter to boot. But the factory seats sure look good!

Hey Mike, those seats in your Cab sure look familiar...I guess they worked our fine? Did you polish out some of the scratches on the backs?

Cheers,

Mike

Mike:

All taken care of brother. Hot in Summer, cold in Winter. I could care less. That by far is the best mod in Blackhorse. Love em can't live without em.

Hot seats for a hot car LOL

What do you end up doing with your stock seats if you upgrade? Are they desireable to others?

Desireable only to someone that needs them. I would sell mine for $850.00 and they are in excellent condition. And that is a very fair price.

Mike
that's not a fair price, that's a fire sale... if they are truly in excellent condition and black, this is a steal, someone should jump on them...

i paid over 3x's that for mine...
