It is very sad news, first I thought it was a joke.
Ray used to post "Jokes of the week" on the OT forum. I used to look forward his collection of jokes that he got from his friends and family.
Godspeed Ray.

In communication, there is no substitute for honesty, and with Ray never a shortage of same. I must admit I wondered why some of this week's lame enquiries did not receive the anticipated and much enjoyed flogging.

Ray was a great contributor to this forum. I always appreciated his brutally direct, often crotchety, but informative posts.
Ray would probably be pissed off that we are remembering him in this way!
Godspeed Ray. I hope you are hot-lapping in a special place.

Hmmm... When I first saw this thread - I figured Ray was being flamed by some "newbie" for not reading the manual - or doing a search - or whatever..
It is not...
Ray - and I know you are reading this...
Yes - I did a search on what to say - and I read the "Rennlist Manual" - but the right words are not there... There are no "directions" on how to tell you how much you will be missed on Rennlist...
You were there on day "1" and stayed on..
My thanks...
Rather - our thanks...
Jen and I are saddened by your passing, but thankful for your support, words, encouragement through the last 9 years of this community. We cherish them - and will...
And BTW, Ray?
Yep - I really do drive my 993 in the winter snowstorms..
This one is for you:
In short....
Just........
Thank you.....
May you RIP. You deserve it.
Jen's and my thoughts, prayers and condolences to Ray's family. He was "special". He was unique. He cared. He gave. He shared.
He always will be - just - "Ray".

I'm in total shock... I was just read a post by him a few nights ago and he was talking about getting ready for an up coming auto cross.
May you rest in peace Ray and our deepest condolences to his family.
