Default Go Reubens....!!! Who Are You Rooting for on Sunday...???

Thought this would be a fun post:

Who are you rooting for this Sunday......????

I am a big fan of Reubens Barrichello..... I began rooting for Reubens when he was driving for Ferrari.... I thought he handled himself quite well, in what had to be a large Shumi shadow....

He seems to be the most humble and down-to-earth of all the F1 driver.... I wish he had a a better ride..... Oh Well....

So, count my vote for Reubens...... And your vote.....????

Well, one of the younger Flying Finns, Kimi Raikkonen of course!

And I do keep my eye on half Finn, Nico Rosberg who IMO is drving pretty damn good, very talented kid.

Anybody, except Alonso. I want to see the points tighten up a little bit. I was in Montreal this past weekend (cheering for Schumi). Even after the late safety car that bunched them back up, Alonso just stretched the lead right back out.

Loudest part of the race was the "groan" from the "hometown" Quebec fans when Jacques crashed out "again" in Canada......

Go Scott Speed. Sure, he hasn't a chance... but I'd love to see an American get back into F1 in a big way. And, come on... with a name like that? Where is Phil Hill and Mario Andretti when you need them?

Ditto.

I am so tired of Nascar dominating the U.S. racing news. Danica seems to be the only open wheel racer here getting much press.

Interesting that the F1 site says they're doing a 6-hour autograph session in Indy. I would imagine that's not standard, and that's only part of what they're doing to try to make up for last year's debacle with the fans.

I'm Italian, so it's a no brainer...Ferrari, has always been since I was a little kid, regardless of who is driving it.

I'd like to see Kimi have an ounce of good luck and win it. Also, how about an improvement on Scott Speed's top 10 from last week? Used to be a JPM fan - until I realized he's just a jackass.

Gordo,

What makes you say JPM is a jackass? I've always been a fan and hoped one day he would win a WDC in F1 but it doesn't look like it will happen. As a matter of fact, the current rumor mill has him perhaps coming back to America! Too bad really, no matter your opinion, he is certainly better than may other F1 drivers who will have a seat next year (Ralf @ $20MM!!! - You've got to be kidding me!). Chubby Colombian never seemed to have the commitment of a M.Schu

Nonetheless, I'd like to see him do well @ Indy. I'd also like to see JV get a podium. Long-shot, I know, but no matter what he does, I doubt he'll be back next year.

I'm PRAYING for something, ANYTHING, to go wrong w/a Renault! They, and Alonso, are absolutely bulletproof.

I've been a fan of JPM since his CART days, but it's been really difficult supporting him this year. I thought for sure he was going to get the measure of Kimi, but that's not the case. He's fairly close to KR in qualifying, but is relatively no where near him in race trim. I hope he can turn it around this weekend. It would be a shame if he couldn't stay in a decent Grand Prix team in '07.

It does appear that his motivation isn't the same as it once was, although he did look pretty dicey w/ Rosberg last weekend. Anyway, if JPM doesn't come through, then I'd like to see Scott Speed do well on home soil. I think he's a talent, young driver and has the goods to have a career in F1.

I would have thought that all you guys over the pond would be rooting for the tyre manufacturers this year!

Let's hope you get to see a decent race!
