Caveman,

there was a 'reader's writes' article on these type brake ducts in a recent Total 911, or 911 Porsche World issue I think,

I'll have a look through and let you kow.

the reader said that 'some adjustment' ws need to ft the brake ducts - not sure if it ws the same ones you have seen on e bay though.

Thanks, yes I meant to have a moan at them for promoting the rip-off ones that everyone has had the problems with but I couldn't be bothered in the end!

Cheers,

I bought some clear corners from HK plus that I cut down since I have bumperettes. Anyway, the quality wasnt great but they get the job done. I thought that HKplus was a 993 owner and I thought that he HAD a decent reputation on rennlist. Anyway, thats what I remember before I bought my corners earlier this year. Sorry to hear your problems, they answered my questions at the time but it took a few days...

tj90,

Like I said earlier, I was able to save the clear corners by lots of cutting and shaping them to fit.(I too kept my bumperrettes) Then I realized that my car is not some rice cooker but a genuine/OEM PORSCHE! I kinda regret then installing them to my dream car... And that was my point. From now on I want to avoid low quality stuff like this and go for more reputable ones... Did you hear that Gert?

Stefan: I hear what your saying. I would like to have OEM clear as well, but considering it was a "test" I did not want to invest big bank just to remove them and go back to amber if I did not like them. Now that I know I like them, I would be happy to swap for something better.

I just installed black duct tape to repair a spoiler wall that was cracked. I know its a porsche and the real part is only $80, but i would really like to get a fixed wing and just dont want to throw good money after bad!

Came across this on flea bay, have a look at the fog light recess on the techart bumper, this is why you have to trim out the standard bumper so much to get the ducts to fit, and I have the techart kit not the HK version.

Hope this helps.

Gert sells this exact brake ducts w/o bumper for about $900?
Are you Polar Silver? If so, my P-car wants to be your brother.

in donsacto's post on this thread, he shows where he cut out the ducts and not the bumper, i think it's on page 2 or 3. here's a photo of how the ducts look on my car after paint. the cut out ducts fit very well, but the lights do not.

thanks again donsacto for the hook up on the ducts!

I am like most of you heading down the ss, has anyone tried their RS splitters ? doe these have some fitting issues as the ducts ? Must say that at that price they are tempting.

Allill- No, I want to keep that ugly bumperettes somehow... I must say, your P-car looks FABULOUS!

Akerlie-It's your money... But my bet is HK stuff is of poooooor quality!
I would get the real thing from GERT or ask SUNSET? (no affiliation to either)
