How many rennlisters running 245 40 18s in front without rubbing anywhere?
I know I had rubbing way back when I was on stock suspension and 245 40 17s
....and I know some folks had rubbing with 245 40 18s in front (like theothereric here on rennlist and local to me)
....I'm looking at what to get NEXT season..
...planning for next year that is..
..and I'd really like to go with 245 40 fronts and 275 35 18s rear (same ride height)
.....but I don't want rubbing on my inside fender wall...
...so who is running them successfully for Track/DE use without any rubbing?
..for those of you without any rubbing.. how low are you? (low enough to need EVO uprights for bump steer correction or not?) ...and to those of you without rubbing, what negative camber, what wheels, what width and offset?

I used to on my stock 17s the first 2 years I owned the car.
..nice thing about 205s is they make the steering feel very light and easy..
..but 205s are bad bad bad for DE use IMHO (can you say PLOW?)

If you run the 245/35-18 tires that I run, you'll be less likely to get rub than with the 40 series. I don't get much rub on the inner fender, but I do rub on the fender lip, despite having had them rolled. My car has Motons and GT2 uprights and is super low.

I run 245 40x18 Hoosiers in front with no rubbing, no fenders rolled. The car is very low (lower than in avitar), with a JIC Cross Competition suspension and about -2.8 camber. The springs are 600# front and 800# rear, with 26mm front and 24mm rear H&R sways, so not a lot of body roll.

I tried to run 245/40/18 Hoosiers but they would have destroyed my fender liners. I ended up with 235/35/18 and they rubbed a loose fender liner (my fault) and just touched the outside fender lip. I have PSS9, 1.8 degrees and rolled fenders. The car sits just below RS ride height. The 275/35/18 rears are no issue.

I have the extra wide narrow body car, I ran 265's up front in a race earlier this year. No fender rolling up front but I do have about 3 degrees of negative camber. I thought I was going to have the roll the front fenders but didn't need to. BTW, they were Pirelli slicks.

So it almost seems as though running LOWER means less chance of rubbing?
I think I'm at RS ride height (maybe just above it?) anyway, I have ZERO issues with bump-steer so I know I'm not that low..
I just know that I had rubbing at stock height way back when with 245s in front.. and I want to go to the 245s in front (not many available in 245 35 18 so I assummed 245 40 18)
so who is at RS ride height (without evo upright bump steer kit) without rubbing?
