I agree and hadn't really considered that. I wonder how much less margin there is in the RS models given the nature of their appeal and how much ABS allows more balanced braking systems for the average driver.

IIRC lowering the carby a relatively small amount changes the effects of the CG quite markedly.

I've been reading a good article here brake bias

Are the TT Big Red front and RS rear brakes still fairly front biased?

I'm using the Brembo GT front (355mm) and the RS rear brakes and wondering if I should try Chris' set-up: Yellow in front and Black in back. I've been using the Pagid 4-2-1 compound on the street and track with no ill effects, but wondering if my bias could stand to be shifted to the rear a bit.

yes, I was thinking more in terms of fore and aft. A lower car definitly wants less front/more rear.

the most front biased is the 993RS/tt(Big Red) w/ stock 993 rear
next is stock 993
next is 993RS/tt(Big Red) w/ 993tt rear
most rear biased is 993RS/tt(Big Red) w/ 993RS rear

you can juggle bias a bit w/ pads as Chris B has done and w/ p/v and if you are really industrious use the race ABS

Oranges or PFC 97. Both good (although I think PFC 97 slightly better). Next I'll probably go back to PCF 97s or try Blacks or combining different colors.

I used Pagid Oranges until I got to Road America. Switched to Pagid Blacks, which I loved. I've heard that they may be tougher on rotors, but they were much more confidence-inspiring on that high-speed circuit and I'm still using my original rotors.
